FlashControl extension can be easily bypassed using the .click() trick.

Bypass FlashBlock extension

FlashBlock extension (an older version?) can also be bypassed using the same trick.

Bypass Chrome built-in Click to play feature

Chrome's click to play setting can be bypassed, see related Chrome issue. As per the issue's last comment, Chrome is removing left-click-to-play in version 41.

For extra security, use "Let me choose" (right-click-to-play) setting instead.
